Talanta institute is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centre.
Our training focuses on whole youth development with an aim to produce market relevant graduates through emphasis on mentorship and training in practical, entrepreneurship, workplace and life skills.
We seek to transform the society through education, practical skills training and nurturing talents. Through emphasis on practical skill training and market affiliation to get experience, we have managed to provide an experiential learning experience, which helps to bridge the gap that exists in the mismatch of the skills in trainees and the market requirement.
We are a media training institute with diploma (2 years) and certificate (1 year and 3 months) courses in:
• TV and Film Production
• Music Production
• Graphic Design.
• Animation
• Journalism.
Our 3-month short courses include: Camera Operations, Performing Arts, Deejaying, Photography, Videography, Editing, Digital Marketing, TV and Radio Hosting among others.
Our practical skill training has allowed the trainees who have gone through our courses to start their enterprises or take up leading roles in their respective industries.
We also offer Media Production Services including Event Coverage – Videography, photography and Live streaming and all other services in our areas of training.

Talanta Institute was founded by a prominent TV and Film Production company- Princecam Media Limited - that has now been in operation for 16 years. During this period, the company has not only produced notable productions in Music, TV, Films and Commercials; it has also nurtured and trained numerous award-winning producers, directors, cinematographers and scriptwriters. This creates a robust resource of knowledge and expertise to incorporate into our training programs. This means, that at Talanta you always learn more and remain in sync with the market progression.
Our Diploma Courses
Covering a period of 2 years or 8 academic semesters, our diploma courses are aligned with TVETA regulations, curricular and assessment processes. They are intense, practical and industry sensitive to ensure graduates are market ready when they graduate. Join any of our diploma courses with a minimum KCSE requirement of C- or a relevant certificate course.
Our Certificate Courses
Covering a period of 1 year or 5 academic semesters, our certificate courses are aligned with TVETA regulations, curricular and assessment processes. They are intense, practical and industry sensitive to ensure graduates are market ready when they graduate. Join any of our certificate courses with a minimum KCSE requirement of D.
Our Short Courses
Our beginner, intermediate and advanced short courses in media are popular with youth out of school, working professionals and organizations. They vary in duration from 1 month crash courses to 3-month artisan courses. All of these courses are purely practical.
